A bookmark is a named link to diagram or shapes in the opening project. With the bookmark support, you can use bookmarks to keep track of diagrams and shapes and to return there whenever you want to.

| Creating a Bookmark |

Select the item you want to bookmark. To bookmark a diagram, click on the diagram background. To bookmark a shape or several shapes, select them. In this article, we'll bookmark three BPMN Tasks. |

Select Edit > Add Bookmark... in the main menu. Alternatively, press the hotkey Ctrl-K. |

This shows the Add Bookmark dialog box. |

Give the bookmark a name. It should be a distinct and meaningful one. |

Choose a folder for storing the bookmark. You can create a new folder by selecting the parent folder and pressing New Folder.... |

This creates a bookmark that links to the selected shapes. |

| Returning to Bookmarked Shapes |

Select Edit > Bookmarks in the main menu. This popup a list of bookmark folders. |

Select the bookmark that reference to the shapes you wish to return to. |

 |
|
|
This returns to the shapes referenced by the selected bookmark. |

| Organizing Bookmarks |
|
| You can sort, rename and change the properties for your bookmarks via the Organize Bookmarks dialog box. To show the Organize Bookmarks dialog box, select Edit > Organize Bookmarks... from the main menu. |
