Grouping Shapes with Resource Icon
The grouping feature helps us to organize shapes in a group so that we can manipulate related shapes together (e.g. select, deselect, move, resize, etc.) in an easier way. Groups can be formed on shapes, you can also form a new group on top of existing groups.
In VP Suite 3.2 Service Pack 1, we can group shapes simply by the resource centric interface, which helps us to group shapes more easily.
Below we will perform grouping using Class Diagram as an example.
| Grouping Shapes with Resource Centric Interface |
| Here we have a Class Diagram with few shapes, some of them are related. |
| 1. |
Select shapes to be grouped. |
| 2. |
Then move the mouse cursor to one of the selected shapes, you will see several resources above it. Click the resource Group. |

After grouping, you can manipulate the shapes at the same time. For example, if you move one of the grouped shapes, it will prompt other shapes in the same group to move together. |

To cancel grouping, click on one of the grouped shapes and then click the resource Ungroup. |
