Summary
For any non-trivial UML modeling project, it is often desirable to have it split into smaller parts so that it can be delegated to other team members, and can merge the works of individual members into the master project at a later time. This increases the productivity dramatically and facilitates a more manageable modeling process. Visual Paradigm for UML provides the export and merge project feature to make this possible.
Exporting Project
The export of project is diagram-based, just select the diagrams to export and the exported project will contain the selected diagrams and the containing model elements.

All changes made to an exported project will be recorded and they will be updated to the master project when being merged later.
Merging Project
The merge of projects is even simpler. All you need is to select the project to merge, and its changes will be automatically updated to the master project. The project to merge is not necessarily an exported project. If it is not an exported project, its content will be compared against the master one and the differences found are merged. If it is an exported project, its changes recorded since the last export will be merged.
