When modeling a complex diagram, we may come across a situation where connectors are intersected with each other. Line Jump is a feature for decorating the intersection, which makes it easier to identify connection paths.

Setting Line Jump for Connectors in Diagram

The Line Jump style can be set global (workspace wide), diagram wide and connector specific. Diagram wide setting will cause all connectors on the diagram which have been set to follow diagram to adopt the setting. Let's try.
1. Right click on the diagram background and select Connectors in the popup menu. There you can select a Line Jump option, or select Off to disable it.
Here is how the Line Jumps style look like:
Off

Arc

Gap

Square

2. Upon selection, intersections of connectors in the current diagrams will have line jump applied, provided that the connectors are set to follow diagram's setting.

Note that the line jump setting for diagram overrides the workspace's line jump setting.

Setting Line Jump for Specific Connectors

Right click on a connector and select Style and Formatting > Connector Style from the popup menu. There you can select the desired Line Jumps option.

Note that the line jump setting for connector overrides the diagram and workspace's line jump setting.

Setting Line Jump for New Project

1. Select Tools > Options from the main menu to open the Options dialog box.
2. In the Options dialog box, open the Diagramming page, and switch to the Connector tab.
3. Select the Line Jumps style, or select Off to disable it.
4. Click OK to confirm the changes.
Note that the global line jump setting applies to only new project or connectors in new diagrams of the opening project.
