Diagramming Toolset

Create and maintain business and engineering diagrams with Visual Paradigm cutting edge visual modeling toolset such as resource-centric interface, mouse gesture, sweeper, magnet, styles and layer.

Rich Text documentation
Write detailed description to model elements with rich formatted text. The latest release highlights and links glossary terms from documentation to glossary grid.

Reference model element in documentation
Insert reference model element references to rich text documentation pane. The referenced model elements will be linked and highlighted.

Layer support
Layer is a feature to help categorizing shapes into different distinct layers. We can use a separate layer for annotation; We also can place alternative paths of a flow in a separate layer. Since layers can be shown or hidden, it provides an ideal solution for controlling the portion of diagram to appear on diagram.

Documentation indicator
You may want to know which model elements in a diagram have textual description missing, or filled. The documentation and comment resources help to identify which model elements do not have documentation and/or comments input yet.

Show/hide shapes on diagram
Show and Hide Diagram Element feature allows you to show only elements on the diagram editor which you are interested for performing some operations more conveniently in a temporary state, and later you can make them visible again for normal operations.
Showing tagged values with shape
A tagged value is a combination of a tag and a value that gives supplementary information to the model element it is attaching to. A tagged value can be used to add properties to any model elements and can be applied to a model element or a stereotype. Besides defining tagged values, an option is provided to let you decide whether to make them visible on diagram or not.
Showing diagram information
Diagram info shape provides a place to document and display diagram information in diagram. Modeler can add diagram info shape to any diagram to document a diagram. Information displayed in a diagram info shape is linked with the diagram's specification. You may add more items to the info shape to add more useful information for a diagram.

Connector Routing Style:
Various connector routing style
Agilian supports Curve, Oblique, Rectilinear, Round Oblique and Round Rectilinear connector routing styles. Using different routing styles increases the readability of diagrams. The following screenshot shows all supported connector routing styles in one diagram. You may also try out different routing styles at the right hand side.

Line Jump Options:
Various line jump options
When drawing a complex diagram with many shapes and connectors, connectors may intersect with each other. Line jump feature is design for decorating the intersection, which makes it easier to identify connection paths. Agilian supports arc, gap and square line jump options. The following screenshot shows all line jump options and you can try different line jump in left hand side pane.

Showing caption along the connector
By having many connectors between two shapes, this make it very difficult to identify which caption is belonging to which connector. Agilian provides an option to show connectors' captions along the connectors. The following screenshot shows all caption placement options.

Justify shape name
Different languages have different preferences on direction. Agilian support justifying the caption of shapes in all directions. The following screenshot shows all possible justifications of the shape caption.
