Annotating model elements with voice

Agilian provides a voice documentation function for you to attach voice annotation to any model elements and diagrams. Recording voice to model element is as easy as writing textual documentation. This tutorials will walk you through how to use the voice documentation to record the decision in requirement meeting.

To create voice documentation:
  1. Let's try to create voice documentation for the Place Order use case. Select the Place Order use case and switch to Documentation pane.

  2. Press the Record button in the Documentation pane, a Record Voice dialog will be shown.

  3. Name the voice as Meeting with John, then press the Record button to start recording.

  4. Once you finish record the voice, you can press the Stop button to end the recording. The Play button allows you to playback the recorded voice directly. You can also press the Cancel button to discard the voice and record it again. Press OK to confirm the recorded voice.
  5. One you confirmed the voice, it will then listed in the Documentation pane. You can click on the voice to trigger the playback.

  6. Let's record voice for the Return Item use case.
  7. Select Play when selected checkbox in the Documentation pane when you still on the Return Item use case.

  8. Now select Place Order use case, the voice attached to the use case will be played automatically. You can uncheck this option if you don't want Agilian play the voice automatically for you.
  9. Besides recording voice from Agilian, you can also attach existing voice file (.wav) to the model. Press the Manage button in the Documentation pane to open Manage Voice dialog.

  10. Press the Add button, and then select the voice file from your file system.

  11. By default the Manage Voice dialog will show the voice for the current working nickname. You can select Show all nicknames to display all voice attached to the model, no matter it is under which nickname.

  12. You can play specific voice by selecting it and press the Play button at the bottom of the dialog.

  13. You can also reorder the voice using the Up and Down buttons.
