Generate and Reverse 10+ languages
SDE for NetBeans supports a set of languages both in Code Generation and Reverse Engineering on Java, C++, CORBA IDL, PHP, XML Schema, Ada and Python. In addition, Code Generation supports C#, VB .NET, Object Definition Language (ODL), Flash ActionScript, Delphi, Perl, Objective-C, and Ruby. Reverse Engineering also supports Java class, .NET dll and exe, JDBC, and Hibernate mapping files.

Java code synchronization support
Java Round-trip Engineering can generate Java code from models and create models out of Java code. Either changes in the existing code can be reflected in the model, or model changes are kept in sync. Independent changes on a model and code can be synchronized without destroying data in the code or model.
High interoperability
SDE for NetBeans supports import and export for XMI of version 1.0, 1.2 and 2.1. Rational Rose project file (.MDL/.CAT) can also be imported into SDE for NetBeans through the Rose Importer. To maximize the interoperability of Visual Paradigm products with other applications, we have introduced the import/export of modeling project from/to an open XML format. Users and technology providers can thus integrate Visual Paradigm models into their solutions with minimal effort.
