  • Q :What is Smart Development Environment for Visual Studio (SDE-VS)

    A :
SDE-VS is an UML CASE tools which embedded itself into Visual Studio. It combines professional UML modeling, advanced code engineering and excellent interoperability into a single development platform. As it is embedded into the Visual Studio, it gives you the unified look & feel throughout the design and development process thus greatly enhance the productivity and reduce the larning curve from getting familiar another modeling tools.
  • Q :What are the differences between SDE-VS and Visual Paradigm for UML Visual Studio Integration?

    A :
SDE-VS is embedded inside the Visual Studio which has the same look & feel also share the same VM. It only takes one process when both Visual Studio and Smart Development Environment are launched. Visual Paradigm for UML Visual Studio Integration is works in parallel with the Visual Studio. The Visual Paradigm for UML and Visual Studio are work in different process (different VM). The two applications communicate with each other to perform the code/model sychronization. The Visual Paradigm for UML will have similar look & feel to the Visual Studio when performing the integration.
  • Q :What are differences between editions of SDE-VS

    A :
SDE-VS provides different editions aimed from personal learning to enterprise production usage. The major differences are the supported functionailites and the license terms. Except the Community Edition and Personal Edition, all editions can be used in product environment. Furthermore, the Community Edition only allows a maximum of one diagram for each type of UML diagram per project, and all the diagrams and documentations generated from both the Community Edition and Personal Edition will show a small Visual Paradigm logo at the top left corner.
