Using Project Management Properties

Visual Paradigm for UML 7.2 has introduced project management properties, which lets you specify the status of model elements through a set of configurable properties. This tutorial will teach you how to specify project management properties in model elements, and define customized properties for your project.

To specify project management properties for a model element:
  1. Open specification dialog of requirement Load.

  2. Switch to Project Management tab.

  3. Specify value for each of the project management properties. Set Status to be Proposed, Difficulty to be Medium, Version to be 1.0 and Author to be Peter.

  4. Generate a PDF report. The properties you have specified are output in report. Note that this works for HTML and Word report, too.

The values for each property can be customized to fit for your needs. To configure the values for each property:
  1. Select Tools > Project Management Look-ups.

  2. The Project Management Look-ups dialog will be shown.

  3. Add a new property by clicking Add. Then remove it by pressing Remove.

  4. Modify existing property Tested to Tested Working.

  5. Keep Tested Working selected and click Move up.
