Visual Paradigm academic classroom licenses have no functionality limitations; features are identical to Visual Paradigm's full-powered commercial software.
Q : What commitments are required to become an academic partner?

You must execute the Visual Paradigm Academic Partners License Agreement. You commit to using the latest version of at least one Visual Paradigm product as part of a training program for a class. The Visual Paradigm-related training must involve a minimum of 20 hours per student annually. The minimum class size should not be less than 10 students.
Q : Which Visual Paradigm product editions will I get when I join the Academic Partners Program?

Bronze partners will receive license for the Standard Edition of VP-UML and Agilian, the Modeler Edition of BP-VA. Silver partners will receive license for the Professional Edition of VP-UML, Analyst Edition of BP-VA and the Standard Edition of Agilian. Gold partners will receive license for the Enterprise Edition of VP-UML and Agilian, BP-VA Simulacian.
Q : May I post the academic license file to Intranet web site accessible only for our students?

There is no problem for putting the license file to the Intranet. However, you should make sure that only your students taking your courses can access to it.
Q : Can we put a local copy of the software, tutorial, and documentation to our internal server to minimize traffic load?

There is no problem in putting our software, tutorial, and documentation at your internal server to speed up the download within your local network. Actually, we can provide an rsync service for your institution's server to synchronize with our servers. You can ask your technician to contact our technician at support@visual-paradigm.com.
Q : Did I understand it right that the license will be renewed annually as long as I am still working for that institution?

Q : When importing the license file, does student need to have an administrator to do this job?
