What commitments are required to become an academic partner? |

You must execute the Visual Paradigm Academic Partners License Agreement. You commit to using the latest version of at least one Visual Paradigm product as part of a training program for a class. The Visual Paradigm-related training must involve a minimum of 20 hours per student annually. The minimum class size should not be less than 10 students. |

Which Visual Paradigm product editions will I get when I join the Academic Partners Program? |

If you join our Basic Academic Partner program, you can get the Standard Edition products (VP-UML and/or SDE). If you join our Professional Academic Partner program, you can get both the Standard Edition, Professional Edition and Enterprise Edition products (VP-UML, SDE, and/or DB-VA). |

Can I get the Enterprise or Professional Edition of Visual Paradigm products for teaching? |

Yes, you can join our Professional Academic Partner program. Enterprise or Professional Edition products are purchased at the cost of 20% of the current list price. You must purchase at least 5 copies of Enterprise or Professional Edition products in order to join. Purchasing 40 copies will get a department-wide site license (products can be installed on as many computers as needed), otherwise you will get a floating license. |

Yes, an IT department can get the Professional Edition of Visual Paradigm products at a very low price in joining our Professional Academic Partner program. |

There is no problem for putting the license file to the Intranet. However, you should make sure that only your students taking your courses can access to it. |

For Standard Edition products, accessing the Internet is required on each startup. For Professional Edition products, accessing the Internet is not required, but access to the floating license server (hosted by the institution) is required on each startup. |

There is no problem in putting our software, tutorial, and documentation at your internal server to speed up the download within your local network.
