Eagle's Eye Preview of Glossary Change Impact, Sitting Down

Know the scope of potential impact. If you were to make changes to a glossary term in Glossary Grid, beforehand, see which model elements within your project share references to it all from one place. No sweat, no flying around to collect that information! With Impact Analysis, a few clicks will take you to a customized matrix populated with glossary terms (e.g. in rows) and model elements with links (e.g. in columns) showing their associations. If you want to zoom into a diagram where a specific model element comes from, no need to manually flip through files. Just click on the model element name right in the matrix. Vroom, there you go!

Analysis Diagram helps to identify all model elements which are related to a specific model element. It provides a visual way to view which model elements will be affected if you were to make changes to that element. This can be done by right-clicking on it to select Related Elements > Analysis...
If you wish to further explore while in the analysis diagram generated, you may select the model element of interest for the Analyse icon to appear and then click on it.

Step 1 of 4: Open the project

Open the project file for creating chart.

Step 2 of 4: To create a chart

Click on Impact on toolbar, and select Chart Diagram from the drop down menu.

Step 3 of 4: Configuring row and column

Specify the type of element to appear in row and column. Click OK.

Click on the cells in chart and select the appropriate relationship.

Step 1 of 6: Open the project

Open the project file for creating chart.

Step 2 of 6: To create a chart

Click on Impact on toolbar, and select Chart Diagram from the drop down menu.

Step 3 of 6: Creating a code type

Click on the buttons with three dots next to Code Type.

Step 4 of 6: Defining the new code type

In the the Configure Code Type dialog box, click Add and select Code Type from the popup menu. Name the code type. Click Add again and select Code to add the available type of code. Click OK when all codes are added. Select the newly created code type in the drop down menu.

Step 5 of 6: Configuring row and column

Specify the type of element to appear in row and column. Click OK.

Click on the cells in chart and select the appropriate relationship.
