Discussion widget

The discussion widget lists Resources that:

• are submitted by you and have discussion posted (by anyone) or
• you are notified for a discussion

Region Description 1 The name of Resource. Bold names indicate Resources that are unread. Once you have read a Resource, its name will become non-bold. You can simply click on the name of a Resource to open it. 2 Click to open the first page. 3 Click to open the previous page. 4 Click on the drop down menu and select a page to open. 5 Click to open the next page. 6 Click to open the last page. 7 Click to refresh the table contents. 8 Displays the number of Resources in current page. 9 Click on the drop down menu and select the number of maximum Resource to list in a page. 10 Click on it to toggle the clean up mode for clearing selected discussion from widget. 11 Click to refresh the table content. 12 Click to collapse or expand the widget.

Sort discussions

You can sort Resources by a property (e.g. name) by clicking on the corresponding column header. If you want to change the way of sorting (i.e. ascending/descending), click the header again to update the ordering.

Show the URL of Resource

Each Resource has a unique URL for you to visit and open in web browser. You can ask team members to study a Resource by sending him the URL of Resource so that he can open it, read it and take action accordingly. To check the URL of Resource, move the mouse pointer over the Resource without clicking on it. Click on the anchor icon on the right hand side.

You can see a popup of URL of Resource. By default the content in popup are all selected. You can copy the content directly by pressing Ctrl-C.

The popup shows both the name and URL of Resource. If you want to see only the URL but not the name, uncheck with Name on the top right of popup. Note that this selection will be memorized. The next time you check for URL of Resource, the setting will be re-used.

Removing discussion from widget

Once a resource is shown in the Discussion widget, it will not be removed automatically. You need to remove it manually if you do not want it appear in widget anymore. Click on the Show/Hide Checkbox button on top right.

You can see the checkboxes in front of each Resource in widget. Check those you want to clear and click the Clear Selected button at top right.
