Understanding a Process cell

A Process cell is an intersection of Phase, Iteration and Discipline as presented in Process grid. It contains Requirement, Activity, Issue, Testing, Artifacts and/or Suggestion team members submitted under specific Phase, Iteration and Discipline within development cycle.

When you are reading a Process cell in Process view, you can see the percentage of completeness of different kinds of Resources under that particular cell, as shown in horizontal bars with the figure of percentage stated in them. When you move the mouse pointer over a kind of Requirement/Activity/Issue/Testing, you can read the specific number of completed, closed and total Resource.

Progress is calculated by taking the average percentage of progress of resources within a cell. For example, if there are two Requirements, one with 100% completeness while the other one have 0%, the progress would be 50%. Note that if there are Sub-Requirements for Requirement, or Sub-Activities for Activities, the progress of the Sub-resources are considered while the parent resource's progress is ignored.

By clicking on a bar or an icon, you can access that kind of Resources under that cell.
