Interface overview of A3 Platform Requirement view

Requirement refers to a function that the target system must achieve. It can be functions required by the users, the customers or even the developers. A Requirement can have multiple Sub-Requirements for describing functions in finer details. It can also have multiple Sub-Activities for representing works needed to do in order to achieve the Requirement. Requirement view is the page that lets you create Requirements. You also can list Requirements by applying appropriate filters.

1 Navigate to another core function of A3 Platform by pressing on a tab.
2 List/open a Requirement based in different categories.
3 Select a process cell (i.e. location). The Summary page lists Requirements saved to the selected process cell. Requirements reported in Requirement tab will automatically be saved to the selected process cell.
4 Summary tab lists Requirements below. Requirement tab is where you can read or create a requirement.

Toolbar. Here are the supported functions when Summary tab is opened:

New Requirement - Click to open a blank form of Requirement where you can fill in the detail of Requirement and create it.

Configure Table - Press on it to set the columns, sorting of columns as well as the number of row to show per page for the table of Requirements.

Show Sub-Requirements - Press on it to list also Requirements that Sub-Requiremens of others.

Select Label - Filter Requirements by their labels. Only Requirements marked with selected labels will be listed.

Mass Update - Press on it to set the changes you want to apply on all the Requirements checked in the table of Requirements, to perform a mass modification on them.

Excel - Press on it and select whether to export or import Excel of Requirements.

Search - Click on it jump to the Search page to search for an Requirement.

Refresh - Update the table of Requirements.

<drop-down of filter> - Filter Requirements base on the following categories - My Assigned / My Submitted / My Watching.

Here are the supported functions when Requirement tab is opened:

New Requirement - Click to open a blank form of Requirement where you can fill in the detail of Requirement and create it.

Create Similar Requirement - Press on it to create a new Requirement base on the opening one. The following items will be copied: priority, type, source, location, responsible members, labels.

Configure > Label - Press on it to create, edit or delete labels that can be set to Requirements.

Configure > Type - Press on it to create, edit or delete custom attributes for Requirements.

Configure > Requirement ID - Press on it to modify the way how ID is produced when creating a new Requirement.

Search - Click on it jump to the Search page to search for an Requirement.

Refresh - Update the table of Requirements.

Edit - Press to edit the opening Requirement. Unpress to exit from editing.

Print - Click on it to print the opening Requirement.

Watch - Click to watch the opening Requirement. Watching means to monitor the Requirement. People who are watching a Requirement will be notified when the Requirement is being updated.

Show Link - Press to show the URL of Requirement. You can browse the Requirement by visiting the URL.

6 When Summary tab is selected, a list of Requirements is shown here. When Requirement tab is selected, this is where the form of Requirement appears.
