What is Visual Paradigm Suite (VP Suite)? |

What is DB Visual ARCHITECT (DB-VA)? |

DB-VA is an easy-to-use object-relational mapping (ORM) environment. DB-VA provides a sophisticated UML Class Diagram and Entity Relationship Diagram for modeling the mapping between Object-Oriented view and Relational view. DB-VA also generates a cost-effective, reliable, scalable and high-performance object to relational mapping layer. The generated mapping layer includes the support of transaction, cache and other optimized feature. DB-VA increases the productivity and reduces the risk of developing mapping layer manually significantly. |

In order to import Visio stencils into DB-VA, the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and Microsoft Office Visio 2003 must be installed. It is important that you must install .NET Framework before installing Visio. Besides, the "Visio Send to VP" Plug-in must be installed. The plug-in can be found in the "bundled" directory under the VP Suite installation directory. |

We found that there are some problems for the Report Writer if the user's name contains space character. To solve this problem, please run Report Writer under a user account containing no spaces for its name. |

IDE Integration must be installed in order to perform code generation/reverse engineering. To perform reverse engineering, there is another handy way called Instant Reverse. Instant Reverse is a one-off reverse engineering option that can reverse various kinds of source/binaries into Class model. Instant Reverse does not need to have IDE Integration installed. |

Currently DB-VA does not support integration with IBM WSAD. The reason is DB-VA needs to integrate with Eclipse 3.0 or above but since IBM WSAD is in Eclipse 2.x, therefore we cannot integrate with it. |
