Publish database documentation to web

The project publisher of DB-VA lets developers to publish database design to Web environment. The published content consists of diagrams, entities, textual details and documentation of database design. Team members can browse database design through the Web. This tutorial shows you how to make use of project publisher to publish ERD into web enabled environment.

ERD of the Computer Sales project:

  1. Select Tools > Project Publisher... from the main menu to open the project publisher.
    Publish project of Computer Sales
  2. In the Project Publisher dialog box, specify the output path and press OK to start publishing.

  3. The published content is opened in Web browser.

  4. Open the ERD. Select Computer_Categories in the Jump to drop down menu to highlight the entity.

  5. The entity is highlighted. Click the icon to open its specification.

Notes:
1. Select DB Visual ARCHITECT when installing the VP Suite.
