Query, Explore, and Report on Your Design Projects

A powerful web-based tool to explore, query, and extract valuable data from your Visual Paradigm projects, without needing the desktop client.

What is QueryBase?

QueryBase is a web application that acts on project data stored in your Visual Paradigm cloud workspace. It provides a suite of tools to see and mine your project content, enabling deep insights and easy data extraction for reporting, analysis, or integration with other systems. Whether you need to browse a project's structure, export a data snapshot, or perform complex model traversals, QueryBase makes your project data more accessible than ever.

Powerful Tools to Mine Your Project Content

QueryBase offers three specialized querying capabilities to fit your specific data needs.

INSTANT ACCESS

QueryBase Project Explorer

Explore your project data instantly through a web-based project browser. Without needing to install Visual Paradigm, you can directly browse the details of projects, diagrams, shapes, and model elements. A breadcrumb trail ensures seamless navigation between projects, diagrams, and elements, while a powerful search tool lets you find any model element and jump directly to its content.

STRUCTURED EXPORT

QueryBase Hierarchical Queries

Produce structured data for the exact model details you need. Define your query by setting conditions for projects, diagrams, and diagram elements. The result is a clean, structured JSON file organized logically: project > diagram > diagram element > properties. You can customize which properties to include in the output, giving you a ready-to-use dataset for any external tool or script.

ADVANCED TRAVERSAL

QueryBase Model Queries

Define a chained model query to find the specific model data you want. For example, to find all use cases associated with the "Customer" actor, you can create a chain of queries: first, find the "Customer" actor; second, find its relationships; and third, find the use cases connected to those relationships. This progressive querying allows you to traverse complex model structures and pinpoint the exact information you need, which can then be exported as a detailed JSON file.
