Version 4.0 is a significant step in delivering on our vision to provide a scalable platform to work with a complex and huge model. New persistent architecture inside SDE 4.0 greatly improve speed and memory usage in handling middle to large scale project both in local and teamwork environment. A new module called Shape Editor is also introduced in version 4.0. Shape Editor is a completely new, highly intuitive shape creation and editing tool. Shape Editor enables creative professionals to quickly create, edit and reuse attractive shapes without training. Shapes designed in Shape Editor can be incorporated into all types of diagram through stencil pane. |

| The SDE 4.0 will be available through the Visual Paradigm online shop and Visual Paradigm authorized resellers beginning today. SDE 4.0 is available in both single seat (developer based) license and floating license. Single seat license is available from US $99 (Modeler Edition) to US $1399 (Enterprise Edition) or US $118.5 to US $1678.5 with 1 year maintenance contract. Floating license is available from US $128.5 to US $1818.5 or US $154.0 to US $2182.0 with 1 year maintenance contract. Both minor and major version upgrade are covered by the maintenance contract. |
