Installation

There are two ways to install SDE for NetBeans.

1. Download the SDE for NetBeans installer from http://www.visual-paradigm.com/product/sde/nb/sdenbdownload.jsp and follow the installation procedure to install SDE for NetBeans. You can select which edition you want to install.
2. Install SDE-NB from NetBeans plug-in update center. Currently install from plug-in update center only supports install Enterprise Edition.

Install SDE-NB from NetBeans plug-in architecture (Enterprise only)

Following procedure shows how to install SDE-NB from NetBeans plug-in architecture.

1. Click "Tools" —> "Plugins" menu item
2. Open "Settings" tab in "Plugins" dialog box
3. Click "Add" button
4. Input Name and URL for "Update Center Customizer" dialog box
   Name: SDE for NetBeans
   URL: http://www.visual-paradigm.com/downloads/vpsuite/sde/nb/catalog.xml.gz
5. Verify SDE for NetBeans is added
6. Open "Available Plugins" tab
7. Search SDE plug-in using search text box
8. Click "Install" button
9. Wait around 5 minutes for download and install
10. Start SDE-NB by right-clicking the project root node
11. Request evaluation key by clicking "Request Key" button
12. Create and draw class diagram
