Import Visio® Stencil - Extends the UML modeling capabilities to the infinity
Unified Modeling Language
(UML) is an industry-standard for specifying, visualizing, constructing and
documenting the artifacts of object-oriented systems with the graphical diagrams.
Although UML only provides a limited amount of notations, but it allows you to
model the whole universe by extending the notations with stereotypes. The UML
stereotypes only extend in the meaning, but didn’t mention how its look
likes. Sometimes we want a bit more!
VP-UML 4.0 and SDE 2.0 introduce the Modeler
feature which allows you to transfer the shapes from Visio® into
VP-UML. You can use these shapes in any diagram as you like.

| Extending the notations for your development |
| With the Modeler, you are
not bound by the limited UML notations anymore. The only limitation is your
imagination. You can assign more meaningful image to your own notation instead
of using the stereotypes. Everything can be drawn in the Visio can be used in
your UML diagrams. |
|
|

|
| Do it once, use it every time |
| Once you have imported the
shapes into VP-UML, you can use it in all of your projects. You don’t
need to do the import every time when you want to have those special shapes
in your diagrams. |
|
|

|
| Easy to manage |
| The imported shapes can be
organized into different categories so that your favorite shapes can be found
easily. |
